Thank you for this list! I’m debating on bluesky….learning a new platform is daunting. But I miss what I had on twitter (community). I have loved storygraph.
Thanks for Pango Books! I'm definitely going to give it a try. I'm already all in on most of the others, and I've become a very dedicated library user now that there's no classroom library to feed!
I joined Story Graph a few years ago when I decided how little I liked GReads - but wasn't very committed. As the blog reached it's 10th anniversary in 2023, I also came across the cute collages Story Graph can do, so I've started recording everything I read in a month and share that as well. A lot of review books of course, but also own choices and audio books in the car. As a side note, I had a few friends try out Bluesky after they left the platform formerly known as Twitter (which I left as soon EM butchered it - I only used it to link my reviews in any case) but I didn't like it all so quickly abandoned it - and it took weeks for them to finally delete my entire account (kept looping me back in like an octopus!). I shared a similar list in my happy new year post on the blog :-))

I am still wandering a bit on Bluesky. I hope that I can figure it out!

Thank you for all these suggestions. I am trying to move away from Amazon and strongly believe in independent bookstores.
Thank you for sharing all of those! I am using Fable and Libro.fm and hope to join one of my local Silent Book Club meet-ups soon!
I am making a concerted effort to change where I spend my money and support small businesses. This was such a great topic and very helpful. Thank you!
